In March, LINE, a Japanese software company, will begin a limited test of its own cryptocurrency. In the future, LINE Pay may add other cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin and Ether to its payment options.

LINE users will soon be able to pay using the app’s native token in a small test with select online retailers.

Starting on March 16, users will be able to use their native LINK token (LN) instead of Bitcoin, Ethereum, or other cryptocurrencies to make purchases at any of LINE Pay’s online merchants. The test period will run until December 26 and is intended to examine real-world applications for the tokens as well as improve the convenience and number of payment

According to the report, Lotte Pay Inc.’s subsidiary, Lotte Pay (LPI) was preparing to accept XRP payments beginning in 2020. The company also said that it planned to enhance its collaborations with blockchain organizations and add other cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH).
